Charging stations in UAE

This page opens on UAE, with the rest of our markets one tap away in the market menu. Live activity appears only when operator or community data exists.

UAE tip: The federal tariff is unified: AED 1.20/kWh DC, 0.70 AC — slow overnight charging saves money

How the live system works

  • When you arrive, tap "I'm charging here" + ETA → others see the station is busy.
  • If all stalls are busy, tap "Ping me on the way" → current chargers see your ping and know someone's waiting.
  • Share your location (optional) and we'll compute distance + ETA automatically.

The three charging connectors: EU, China and US
Import guide

Which plug is in your car?

US, Europe and China — three different standards. Know your port, and charge from any Gulf charger.

Gulf dealer / EU import

Dealer and export builds

Type 2 · AC
CCS2 · DC
Gulf AC charging Direct
Gulf DC fast charging Direct

The Gulf's own standard — every public network (EVIQ, DEWA, Tarsheed…) just works, nothing extra needed.

China import

The most common parallel import

GB/T · AC
GB/T · DC
Gulf AC charging Adapter
Gulf DC fast charging Adapter

GB/T ports don't fit Gulf chargers directly. Fix: an AC adapter (common, reliable) + a DC fast-charge adapter (available — buy a tested unit).

US import

Tesla and other US-market cars

CCS1 · DC
NACS
Gulf AC charging Adapter
Gulf DC fast charging Hard/costly

US CCS1 or NACS port. AC charging is a simple adapter away, but DC fast charging needs rare, pricey adapters — factor it in before importing.

The fix? One right adapter

GB/T → Type 2 adapter (AC)

The essential piece for every China import: charges from any home or public AC point. Get a metal-bodied, locking unit.

CCS2 → GB/T adapter (DC fast)

Unlocks Gulf DC fast networks. High current = don't buy no-name units; get one thermally rated for our summers.

NACS/J1772 → Type 2 (US imports)

AC solutions are off-the-shelf. For CCS1 DC fast charging options are limited — ask before you buy.

Safety rule: adapters carry serious current in our summer heat — cheap units melt or damage your port. Before buying an import or an adapter, get it inspected with us.
