The Demand Index weekly
No Gulf market publishes per-model EV sales — not Kuwait, not Saudi, not the UAE. So instead of inventing numbers, we publish the other side of the market: demand, as we actually measure it on our own platform.

The method — and what it is not
Not sales. This measures interest and intent, not registered vehicles. Any table claiming per-model Gulf sales is an undocumented estimate.
Gulf scope (models): Price watches 35% · views 30% · owners 20% · community posts 15%. A watch outweighs a view because it is a decision — someone left a contact to be told when the price drops.
Global scope (brands): Coverage volume in our news corpus, which reads international sources. Ranked per brand and not per model on purpose: an article is about the brand, and fanning it across its models would manufacture precision the source does not contain.
Shares, not raw counts: Each signal becomes its share of the week's total, is weighted, then scaled to 1,000 points — so the number stays comparable as traffic grows. A signal that hasn't reached a minimum event count is dropped for that week rather than amplifying noise.
Week of 31 August 2026: 760 measured signals.
