The method — in full transparency
- 1) Starting point: The model's new price from our catalogue. We run it through the very same valuation engine the calculator uses — no separate secret formula.
- 2) Depreciation curve: A larger first-year drop, then a declining-balance decrease each year after — with a per-brand factor (some brands hold value better).
- 3) Mileage & battery: We assume a typical 15,000 km/yr and a normal battery-health decline with age — the two factors that move a used EV's price more than any other.
- 4) Gulf demand: An adjustment for how strongly the Gulf market wants the model — sought-after models hold more, niche ones less.
These are modeled projections (tier-one confidence) — an estimate built on a published depreciation curve, not an actual sale price. As real verified deals accumulate we'll blend in the measured median and promote models to "market-confirmed".
