US import

Tesla

A US Tesla is cheaper up front but ships with the NACS plug, which doesn't match Gulf CCS2 networks — you'll need adapters, and there's no local warranty. The rest works after a region transfer, but with no native Arabic.

Common issues

  • Forgetting the AC (Type 2) adapter — owners can fast-charge on DC but can't charge at home.
  • Premium Connectivity lapses after the trial, killing live maps and streaming.
  • Tesla declining software updates or service on some imported units.

Our verdict

Worth it only if the price gap is big and you're comfortable with adapters and no warranty. For peace of mind, an EU CCS2 import is far better.
