Xiaomi Auto Delivers 30,153 Vehicles in August Amid 17.15% Year-on-Year Decline

China's Passenger Car Association disclosed Xiaomi Auto's August 2026 delivery figures. Monthly sales declined 3.56% sequentially from July, yet the company sustained above 30,000 unit deliveries for the fifth consecutive month. The year-on-year decrease marked the first decline since March, according to industry-compiled data.

Cumulative deliveries across the first eight months reached 246,475 units, reflecting 9.65% year-on-year growth, moderating from 14.83% expansion in the initial seven-month period. To meet its annual target, Xiaomi Auto requires an average monthly throughput of approximately 75,881 units over the remaining four months—roughly 2.5 times August's volume. This necessitates 303,525 total deliveries through year-end.

Xiaomi introduced the Sky Nomad extended-range electric lineup, marking its debut in the EREV segment. Initial offerings comprise the five-seat N70 Pro and N70 Max, the seven-seat N90 Max, and the five-seat N90 Max Exploration Edition. Reserved orders exceeded 10,000 units within four minutes of launch. The company pre-produced an initial batch, enabling customer delivery within one to five weeks following order confirmation. The expansion occurs amid market headwinds: China's EREV retail sales contracted 15.85% year-on-year to 616,000 vehicles during the first eight months of 2026. Previously, Xiaomi's automotive portfolio consisted exclusively of the all-electric SU7 sedan and YU7 SUV.
